Stupid Statement #1

Some people are just plain stupid. And some actually give stupidity a bad name. Here are a couple of examples.

Reuters reported that a Taiwanese university student died just as he was about to win the "Big Stomach King" binge eating contest, wolfing down his food in record time – pulling way ahead of the other 30 contestant. Then, to show off, he turned around and scoffed his teammate's food. After which he threw up relentlessly, passed out and died messily in a spray of vomit. Some would say what a stupid way to go.

But I don’t know who’s stupider – the student or the professor.

When asked by the media, Huang Te-hsiang, Dayeh University's Dean of student affairs looked puzzled and said, "I can't understand why he died." Duh…

Stupid Statement #2

 

 

In Massachusetts, an 8-year-old boy at a gun fair aimed an Uzi sub-machine gun at a pumpkin and pulled the trigger as his dad reached for a camera. It was his first time shooting a fully automatic machine gun, and the recoil of the weapon was too much for him. He lost control and fatally shot himself in the head.

The pumpkin survived.

  Gun safety experts are wondering why such a young child was allowed to fire a weapon used in war. The third-grader was attending the show with his father and sixth-grade brother. "This accident was truly a mystery to me," said the father, who is a director of emergency medicine at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford, Conn. "This is a horrible event, a horrible travesty, and I really don't know why it happened.”

 

WTF…. When you give a machine gun that spits out 600 bullets per minute to an unsupervised 8-year old, what do you expect?
The real travesty is that they allow dads like him to populate the gene pool.
